In the Spirit of the Holiday Season and Small Business
Saturday, I would like to feature a small local business in Greer. The name of
the local business is Jessie’s A Neighborhood Boutique and the owner’s name is
Jessica Cathcart.
Jessica is blessed with the ability to shine in a social
environment and has a great sense of style. Diving into Direct Sales with intentions to help pay off
Medical Bills, she discovered she was in her element. As the sales were growing,
her love for styling, clothing, accessorizing was also growing. Thriving in the
social aspect of it all, well, it just came naturally for her.
The obvious next step was to open her own boutique. With the
help from her husband (Brian Cathcart, Owner of Cathcart Construction) and a lot of research, she built
a small shop in her home. Six months later, here she is thriving. A talented
small entrepreneur opening a small business to support growth in our
community is something to Celebrate!
After speaking with Jessica and asking her what advice she would
give to other women who are currently dreaming of being their own boss? She
replied, “Find what you love, Start exactly where you are, Use the resources
you have and Take the Leap of Faith. Get out of your own head, Leave your
comfort zone because you can do whatever you set your mind to do. Bring your unique
style, that sets you aside from everyone else and Be Steadfast in your Faith.”
Jessica has learned the secrets to success on social media
to include beating the “social media algorithm” and loves consulting for small
businesses. Equipped with the knowledge she gained through Direct Sales, she
has helped other small business owners thrive in this economy. Jessica is living out her dream to be her own boss, to do
what she loves and have the freedom to be there for her children every day.
After all, she is a wife and mom first.
Jessica’s shop is in Greer, supplying women of all ages with
a sense of style. In her shop, you will find classy neutrals to trending
patterns, dressy casual clothing, and accessories. The environment is lovely,
quaint and personal. As I sat and watched her personally help a customer shop,
styling and accessorizing she was full of joy. The customer arrived a little
stressed to put together outfits for a family outing and with Jessica’s sense of
style, willingness to dive right in, the customer left with a feeling of
accomplishment and joy.
Visit her online through Facebook for hours, directions and store policies or if you need that
personal hands-on feel, “Drop by her Shop”!
or Contact her at 864-809-8752
Thank you Jessica for allowing me to collaborate and support local small business! Wishing you the best small business has to offer!
